FAQs
How do I claim missing points?
If you’re missing EuroBonus points from a flight, hotel stay, car rental, or other point-earning activity, you may be able to register them retroactively. Rules for claiming missing points vary depending on the type of activity and your eligibility.
What are the 2 types of EuroBonus points?
Bonus points are like currency that you can use toward flights, hotels, upgrades, rental cars, shopping and more. They're valid for up to 4 to 5 years after you earn them.
Level points determine your EuroBonus membership level, and they can't be used toward upgrades or any other products. The more Level points you earn during your qualification period, the higher your membership level and the more benefits you unlock. Level points are valid only for each 12-month qualification period.
How do I earn points?
There are different ways to earn points, and you can earn both types of points at the same time. You earn Bonus points when you fly on SAS and our partner airlines, pay using EuroBonus payment cards, stay at selected hotels, rent cars or shop and dine at more than 2 000 partners. And you can earn Level points on top of Bonus points when you use selected credit cards, book hotels or rent cars from selected partners.
What’s the difference between Bonus points and Level points?
Bonus points can be used for flights, hotel rooms, upgrades, car rentals, shopping and much more.
Level points count toward your EuroBonus membership level. The more Level points you collect during your qualification period, the higher your membership level and the more benefits you unlock. The Level points you earn are valid for your current 12-month qualification period.
What is an award flight?
An award flight is a flight with a fixed price in points that you can pay for using EuroBonus points.
Can I earn points in other ways than flying?
Yes. You can earn Bonus points when you use a EuroBonus payment card, book hotels and rent cars, shop from our partners, dine in selected restaurants and much more.
Why does the name on my booking need to match my EuroBonus profile?
To ensure you enjoy your EuroBonus benefits, the name in your booking must match your EuroBonus profile. Matching names allows us to verify your membership at the airport and ensure your points are registered correctly, without delays. For the best travel experience, we also recommend that your EuroBonus profile matches the name in your passport. If you need to update your name or any other details, just go to Settings in your EuroBonus profile.
What are the different levels in EuroBonus?
SAS EuroBonus has four membership levels: Member, Silver, Gold and Diamond.
What are the benefits each EuroBonus membership level?
Each level offers a variety of benefits that increase as you level up.
How does the EuroBonus membership work?
Your qualification period lasts 12 months from the month you join. For example, if you join in May, your period runs from 1 May to 30 April the following year. After that, there's a 3-month grace period where you retain your current level, even if you haven’t requalified. This means your level expiration date is 15 months after your start date. Please note: This doesn’t apply to the basic Member level.
When will my level be upgraded, downgraded or renewed?
You can be upgraded at any time during your qualification period when you reach the required number of Level points or qualifying flights.
Your status is renewed at the same level if you meet the requirements by your level expiration date. And if you don't requalify, you'll be downgraded after your grace period ends.
