Yes, you can still sign up. However, if you are confirmed, you must purchase the missing points within 24 hours of the confirmation. If you don’t have enough points on your account after 24 hours, the seats will be offered to the next person in line.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer points for Bonus trips.

The ticket price includes the round trip, in-flight meals (optional) and some extra treats. Please note that if you choose SAS’ partner hotel for accommodation, that is not included in the ticket price. You will need to pay for this with a credit card upon arrival.

We will process your sign-up, and as we’re expecting high volumes this will take a few days. You can check your status in the SAS App. If you are confirmed, you will receive an email. You will then have 24 hours to accept or cancel your spot in the app. Once you have accepted, you're on your way.

The booking process for Destination Unknown is handled differently compared to a regular trip. This is because the seats are very limited, and we want to give everyone a chance to join. That’s why you’re signing up your interest to join, and not a guaranteed seat right away. The selection will be done randomly, but if you sign up for an additional traveler, we will make sure to take that into consideration and make sure both or neither of you are confirmed.

If you have been confirmed, you will be notified via email. You can also visit the SAS App to check your status at any time.

We have received a high volume of sign-ups, and since there’s only one flight going to the unknown destination, there are limited seats available. However, we have a 24-hour money-back guarantee, so spots can open up if someone else cancels. That means that there’s a possibility of being confirmed if you’re waitlisted. If you're confirmed, you will receive an email – but you can always check your status in the SAS App.

Before the trip

Our 24-hour money-back guarantee applies. If you need to cancel your trip closer to departure, a €25 fee will apply, according to the terms and conditions. Please make sure to cancel as soon as you know you won’t be able to attend, as seats are limited and there are many people in line.

It is mandatory to bring your passport. No VISA is required if your residence is within one of the 27 Schengen countries.

The flight will depart from Copenhagen airport. The exact time of departure will be communicated closer to departure.

SAS will not provide transport to Copenhagen airport, if you live elsewhere you will need to arrange this yourself. If you are traveling from Stockholm or Oslo, you can catch the first morning flight and still make the unknown flight.

Check-in will be open between 07:00-08:20 A.M. We recommend you arrive at the airport no later than 07:30 A.M. You must arrange your own transport to Copenhagen airport.

We will land in Copenhagen around 05:00 P.M. on Monday 8 April. There are connecting flights available to Aalborg, Aarhus, Arlanda, Bergen, Gothenburg, Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim. If you have checked baggage, please remember to give yourself some extra time when you book your connecting flight as you will need to re-check your bags at Copenhagen airport.

During the trip

The mystery plane departs on 5 April and returns on 8 April, so you’ll have four days and three nights in the unknown.

You can plan your budget as you normally would if you were going on a weekend trip. There will be plenty of restaurant options in different price categories. If you are staying at SAS’ partner hotel there’s breakfast included for the entire stay.

If you signed up and got confirmed for a room via SAS’ partner hotel, more information about the accommodation will follow. Also, please note we will have dedicated SAS staff at your service throughout the journey. If you did not sign up for accommodation via SAS’ partner hotel, you’re either really adventurous and want to book your own hotel once you’ve landed at the unknown destination – or you simply forgot. If the latter, please head into the SAS App and choose room preference as soon as possible.

No, if you choose to be adventurous you will need to find your own hotel once you’ve landed at the unknown destination.

No, the rooms at SAS’ partner hotel are limited and will book up quickly. If you want to stay at that hotel you will need to request a room in the SAS App no later than 4 March. After that you’re on your own, adventurer.

You pay with a credit card (Amex, Mastercard or VISA accepted) upon arrival. The price for a single room is €143/night, and €153/night for a double room, including taxes. Please make sure to bring a valid credit card as SAS will not be able to cover this cost for you.

Unfortunately, you are not able to pay for the stay with points.

Yes, SAS will offer to join an unknown activity and special treats for this journey, at no extra cost for the traveler. If you haven’t already, please let us know if you would like to join these activities in the SAS App.

Yes, none of the activities are mandatory.
