You’re always welcome to check bags to your destination. The number of checked baggage you can carry for free depends on the ticket type booked, destination and your EuroBonus membership level.

No bags included in SAS Go Light
EuroBonus Silver, Gold and Diamond members as well as SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus members enjoy extra baggage allowance based on their membership level. Please note that your EuroBonus level at departure determines the baggage rules that apply for your trip. If your level is downgraded during your trip, the baggage rules when you departed will apply on your return trip.
SAS Go Light tickets don't include checked baggage.
Number of additional checked bags
1 extra checked bag: EuroBonus Silver, SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus
2 extra checked bags: EuroBonus Gold and EuroBonus Diamond
Maximum size: 158 cm (length + width + height).
Maximum weight: 32 kg (fees apply for bags heavier than 23 kg).
Stroller/pram as checked baggage may have a maximum weight of 23 kg.
If you’re continuing your trip with another airline other regulations may apply. Information about the baggage allowance is available on the airline’s website.
If your baggage weighs 23–32 kg or exceeds the standard size of 158 cm (length + width + height), you will be charged a flat rate fee. The fee applies per bag, and vary according to route and/or destination, and can only be paid at the airport.
Remember to label your bags inside and out with your name, destination address, email address and mobile number. This can help us reunite you with you baggage if your baggage is delayed or missing. Bag tags are available at Self-Service Check-in or at the check-in counters in the departure hall.
Pack carefully so things inside your baggage don't move around or fall out.
Pack smaller fragile and valuable items such as passports, laptops, money, medication, jewelry, cameras and keys in your underseat bag or carry-on.
Ensure your baggage does not contain any restricted items and dangerous goods.
All your belongings must fit inside your bag. It is not allowed to attach items to the outside the bag or backpack.
Larger fragile and valuable items such as computers, televisions, or other similar items must be sent as cargo.
When transporting strollers, child safety seats, sporting equipment, musical instruments, or other delicate items as checked in baggage, we strongly recommend that you use suitable protective hard casing to avoid any potential damage.
You can rent protective packaging solutions for items such as strollers, child safety seats and sports equipment from Airshells. It can be booked in advance, picked up and dropped off at selected airports. For information about prices and conditions and to place an order, visit Airshells' website .
Children & infants
When you are traveling with an infant or a child, you can check in a stroller/pram and child safety seat/car seat in addition to the baggage included in the ticket, free of charge.
The check-in and pick up point for strollers and child safety seats differ between airports. We recommend you to ask at the airport.
Infant age 0- 2 years
One piece of checked baggage, max 23 kg, max size 158 cm (length + width + height), except if you hold a SAS Go Light ticket.
One stroller / pram, max 23 kg and one child safety seat / car seat can be checked in without extra charge.
Children age 2-11 years
Children can bring the amount of checked baggage that's included in your ticket type.
One stroller / pram, max 23 kg and one child safety seat / car seat can be checked in without extra charge.
When checking in a stroller (max 23 kg) and/or a child safety seat you have to use a plastic bag or a suitable protective hard case to protect it. We recommend that you use a hard case to avoid any potential damage.
Nothing else is allowed to be packed in the same plastic bag/case.
You can pick up a plastic bag to protect your item at the airport. If you’re traveling in SAS Plus or SAS Business, or if you’re a EuroBonus Gold or Diamond member, it is free of charge. If not, it can be purchased at the check-in counter.
Please note that this bag is intended to protect your item from dust and dirt, not physical damage.
Strollers/prams that are two-piece models must be packed in two parts.
