Fly to Kosovo – Visit a bear sanctuary

Kosovo had no laws against keeping brown bears privately until 2010. Before then many bears where kept in cages and displayed at restaurants. 13 bears were rescued and moved to a newly founded bear sanctuary just outside Pristina in 2013. At the Bear sanctuary Prishtina the bears are kept in large enclosures resembling their natural habitat. Close to 20 rescued bears live at the sanctuary today.

History meets modern in Pristina

You’ll find many things to see and do in Pristina. If you want to go shopping; visit the city’s big mall. Or experience the big bazaar, located in the center of old Pristina, where you’ll find everything from fruit to souvenirs.

If you want to see more of Pristina’s history, pay a visit to the Archeological Park. In the park you’ll find architectural ruins, inscriptions and stones portraying mythological scenes.

Plan ahead and allow for some extra time

Make sure you keep track of your departure time and identify your check in terminal. You can check in online via our website or in the SAS app up to 30 hours before your departure time. It may sound obvious, but it’s always best to arrive a little early rather than being stressed. This is especially true during the summer or other popular vacation times.
