Fly to Finland with SAS – Experience Finnish sauna

There’s nothing more Finnish than sauna – so you should try it while you’re here. There are plenty of private and public saunas around Finland, so grab a towel and prepare to sweat. The steam from the hot rocks in the sauna will make you relax, sweat and cleanse your skin. Make sure to drink lots of fluids. If you get too hot you can either move to a lower level in the sauna, have a shower or take a swim to cool down. There are different kind of saunas, the most common being electric, wood-heated or smoke sauna.

Wrap up warm and go outside. Try to find a place away from the bright city lights and start gazing towards the stars – if the night is clear you’ll hopefully get to see the beautiful lights dancing across the sky.

In Finnish Lapland the auroras can appear as often as every other night between September and March.
